  1. Talk to your parents, friends, or teachers, and tell them what is going on. It is amazing how much better you feel after talking about your problems.
  2. Do something you enjoy, like reading novels, listening to music, or even sleeping.
  3. Exercise. This will release endorphins that will improve your mood. Play a sport you enjoy.
  4. Hang out with people you like. You don't have to do anything specific; they will likely help take your mind off your depression.
  5. Keep a "Happy Moments" journal where you record your best memories, successes, achievements, and the moments you felt great. When you feel down, read them and remember how great you are.
  6. Create a mood chart, tracking your mood over a month. This helps diagnosing what may be contributing to bad moods.
  7. Do something you've been putting off for a while and feeling guilty about it. This will make you feel accomplished.
