這些資訊,我想不外乎是 Google Plus 服務所延伸的相關資訊,未來有可能會把使用者看過的資訊,同步到 Google Plus ,那……如果…不小心看了…18禁..就監介了 XD

不過,對常找資料的我來說,這到是一件好事。資訊的收集,總是一個時期一個時期的,等到真的要用的時候,往往又重來一次。

有了這個服務之後,往後再找資料時,應該可以節省重新看一次的問題。

Microblog Mashup with Google map讓所有的訊息能與實際地點結合,很不錯的想法。

這篇文章早在去看過,只是一直沒拿出來分享,不過,是福不是禍,現在台北也可以看到 Street View, Stweet也出現了。

A Map of China

Google 的最後決定,退出中國大陸的市場,這件事已經吵了好一陣子了。本篇不是要再提多深入的報導,反正大家 Google 一下,就知道了。

今天,是要來看一張圖,一張名為”A map of China “的圖,來自於 GIZMODO 。

為了控制,有多少資訊被”控制”在外,強大..又怎麼樣? 市場大..又怎麼樣?原本我充滿鬥志的想去大陸發展,但是看到這樣的情境。我也只能說,我只盡我的本分,作好我的任務。我不想待在一個資訊封閉的國家。我堅持 Google 的信念,不作邪惡的事。

哈哈哈……純搞笑

所謂「Time 倒轉」,就是時光倒轉啦, Google 藉由搜尋的能力,讓時間有了另類的倒轉。

這是利用 Google Image 的分類,將 Time 雜誌的照片列出,這對於作研究,教材,舉證,是很方便的服務,雖然是個舊服務,但現在看起來還是很感動。

We've had our hands on Google's Nexus One phone, but weren't allowed to take any pictures. This fellow, on the other hand, managed to capture his playtime in a crisp, clear video which blows away any previous blurry clips. UPDATED

Update: The original full-length video was pulled because, well, Google kinda owns the video service that this Google phone leak was using. We're trying to get an alternate version of the original source. In the meantime, the above video, shot by the same guy, shows how insanely well the Nexus One handles Qualcomm's mobile 3D benchmark.

I think these ten minutes cover nearly the whole Nexus user interface and give a reasonable idea of what to expect when we finally get our very own gadgets to play with. Gorgeous!

Predictions for Google's 2010

再一天就是2010年了,科技龍頭 Google 釋出了2010年的展望

1. Google Chrome's bookmark sync will be extended to sync the documents stored in Google Docs.
   這個舉動,應該會將 Google OS 推向成熟的作法,現在有用 Chrome 的人,應該已經覺得自己生活在雲端中。
   
2. Google will launch a service that indexes and ranks web applications.
   雲端中,不用安裝任何軟體,任何軟體,都是雲端。
   
3. Google will use different interfaces for displaying search results, depending on your query.
   又有新的搜尋介面,這是 Google 一貫的作風,今年有 Wolfram|Alpha 的刺激, Google 肯定會在搜尋結果上再作其他類似心智圖思考模式的重新歸類。
   
4. Google's search engine will group related results.
   這個雲端中的雲端,利用分散的力量,團結成新勢力。
   
5. Google Image Search will let you upload an image and will show related images from the web.
   哇…要影嚮 Flickr 等圖床的戰場了。
   
6. Google Street View's images will become searchable and Google will start to show information about different places in Street View.
   強化街景視圖的功能,可以同時運用於 Google Earth 及 Google Goggles。
   
7. Google will release an online development environment optimized for building web applications.
   雲端應用程式開放,將離線軟體推向雲端運用。
   
8. An open platform for search experiments: tweak Google's ranking factors, customize the interface and create a better search engine.
   在 Google 推出 Chrome OS 時,我想其中一個隱藏的用意就是將雲端推至個人,可運用個人電腦閒置時,變為雲的一部份。

   這個…是肯定的:)

    不用說, FireFox 4.0 已經有實例。

    雲端硬碟..我是覺得,多少還是可以用一下USB啦。

    啊…失敗。我自己用的心得是,資訊太多,發展的方式雖然像人類神經的結構,但是,神經結構視覺化後,反而會發散討論的主題性。不過,我很期待 Google 的 MicroBlog 的服務,一定會耳目一新。
    
13. Google will buy True Knowledge and will launch a fact search engine.
    
    坦白說…還沒用過… 
    
14. Gmail's spam filtering algorithms will be more transparent and you'll be able to define custom rules for flagging messages as spam.
    耶..雲端的防毒..快出吧。
    
15. Google Trends will show popular web sites from different categories.
    我常用 Google Trends ,每次用,都覺得「有 Google ,真好」。
    
16. Google Desktop will be discontinued and replaced by Google Quick Search Box.
    Google Desktop的資源,算是耗滿多的…對電腦資源錙銖比較的資訊咖,用的人不多。
    
17. If you use Google Chrome, you'll be able to use the most important features of Chrome OS.
    耶..真是個好消息。
    
18. Google users will be able to add comments and start conversations if they want to find some information about a hot topic.
    這應該是 Google Wave 與 MicroBlog 的轉型吧,搞不好還可以加上 Tag。
    
19. Google Toolbar will be available for Chrome and Google will start to bundle Chrome with Google Toolbar for IE.
    其實,現在有了 Chrome Extensions 比 Google Toolbar 好用,又可以自己選擇,此舉..該不會有殺手級應用吧。
    
20. Google will buy Spotify and make it available for free.

雲端與數位學習

2009年的 Top Tools for Learning 2009 中前五項的服務為

1. Twitter

3. YouTube

5. Google Docs

從排名的順序,我有個想法

• 歐美的數位學習已深耕於”教學者”本身,也真正瞭解”科技融入教育的應用情境
• 非正式學習在 2010 年將有更大的發展,結合 Google 前幾天推出的 Google Goggles ,將把生活與學習緊密的結合
• 雲端的網路環境將把教學推至 Teach 3.0 (無所不在的教學方式),只要建立起自己教學常用的數位內容情境,未來老師真「人到就好」
  

但是,我實務在應用時,有時覺得眾多服務可能需要記住各站的帳號及密碼,說真的還真是個動腦的好時機。不過,現在普遍的運用方式,是使用 Blog 或是 iGoogle 來作資源的整合。不過,從整體資源來看,我所使用的服務約有八成以上是 Google 的(自喻為 G型人 ),最大的好處是一個帳號可以串遍所有服務,而且不管未來 Google 出了多少的服務,一樣可以通用,這個是我樂於身為 G 型人的原因。

在看了 Stephen’s Web 寫的 GoogleAppsEd5 中,正好就把 Google 眾多的雲端服務作了個整合,我也想叫它串搭。

資訊串連將是未來發展的趨勢,要成為下一代的接班人,你…串了多少?

這句話是 Google Goggles首頁的標語。

Google 的搜尋技術有了大進化

除了可以讓使用者藉關鍵字作搜尋之外,現在居然可以利用圖片來作搜尋。更令人興奮的是,現在的手機幾乎都有支援照相功能,這個正是符合行動學習的重要殺手級應用。

我們先來看一段 Google Goggles 現場實驗的影片

真是太神

就行動式學習提到的 On the spot Learning,也有以下的應用情境

1. 建築類
   
   到任何一點,可以利用建築的影像查尋相關資料
   
   
2. 書籍類
   看到有興趣的書,可以找到書評及購買資訊
   
   
3. 名片類
   
   這個與名片王類似,不愧是 Google Goggles 波及的市場越來越大
   
   
4. 藝術類
    
   看到名晝總是叫不出口嗎?現在沒問題了

   啊……實在不敢想像 Google 會變成怎麼樣

   我相信其他產品未來都不是問題,應該可以結合 BarCode 或 QRcode

   車子,衣服,電器無處不是 Logo ,所有資訊皆可行動學習

Google Reader reFresh

今天早上起來看 RSS 時,突然發現 Google Reader 多了一個新的功能,「Favicon」

Web 2.0的軟體環境的優勢,就是永遠的 Beta ,服務提供者可以不必在一開始就提供完整的服務,而是先推出主要核心功能之後,再藉由使用者使用的經驗、習慣、回饋再加新的功能進去,如此一來,整體的服務會越來越符合使用者的需求,另外,也讓使用者「永遠不會膩」,更大的好處是,就算有新的服務及操作介面,也能在循序漸進的引導下,讓使用者在平常就一點一滴的適應。

這個功能,其實就是直接讀取該網站的 favicon,讓每個網站的內容出現個人化的圖示,這個樣的改變,雖然看起來不是一個令人驚豔的功能,但是可以體會到 Google 一貫「揪甘心」的小體貼,對於 Google 實現「Browser as a Platform」的腳步又向前邁進。

Google Squared

現在收集資料,大部份的人會直接使用搜尋引擎,搜尋出來的結果,就由搜尋者自行再作應用。

有時候,我們會將收集的資料作比對,將類似的東西,作細部的比對, Google Squared 就是針對這樣的需求作出的服務。先看原廠的資料。

一支很簡單又很短的影片

簡單來說,如果我今天的收集資料作業,是要比較那一台相機比較好,那

1.我可以先到 Google Squared 輸入 camera

2.Google Squared 會將結果秀出

3.再增減自己要找的內容

軟體教學呈現方式--影片,講述,畫面操作

現在針對軟體教學呈現方式大多都是利用像 Powercam, Camtasia, Captivate 等相關的工具作出來,製作簡單,效果也不錯。

不過,就 Google 而言, 對於最近一直積極開發的夢幻瀏覽器 Chrmoe ,就使用不只單一的畫面操作為主。

一看,果然是 Google 出品的影片,簡單乾淨,從內容分析,大家會發現就鏡頭的切換有幾個固定的方式,分為講述,操作,示範,以下以各分鏡來看

1.開頭

開頭直接使用 Google 為主,搭配旁白,讓使用者一看就知道現在在講什麼

2.主要主持人畫面
 

主要的主持人就是這位帥哥,很輕鬆的服裝,很專業的說明

就出現長度,平均6~15秒,剛剛好,在使用者的專注臨界值切換

3.操作畫面+Zoom 抓住焦點
 

第一個畫面是看一下 Chrome 的基本畫面,接著下來,因為要先講第一個功能”移除經常閱讀的網站”,他就將畫面 Zoom In 到左下方,再加上操作,就完成了功能的說明。

4.強調全螢幕的方法：先不使用視窗最大化

這個部份是要展示 Chrome 的最大化功能,但是他用了一個手法,第一個畫面先不使用視窗預設的最大化,故意露出桌面,然後再切換成最大化,更強化了最大化的功能,這點值得學習。

5.主持人Again

主持人又出現了,但是這段的內容,利用了 Zoom In 至胸線上,來表示”接下來是重點”也讓畫面不無聊。

6.結尾的延伸資訊

最後的結尾,雖然是影片,但還是可以利用文字來表示連結,對於內容作了一個延伸資訊的提供。完美的畫下句點。

針對這次的呈現,其實 Google 用了很多次了,只是我是 Chrome 的愛用者,加上以前的想法,也覺得軟體操作,也不一定都是用現在即有的方式。利用影片卡接的效果,一樣可以作出好的呈現。
